Colleagues remembered developer and entrepreneur David Rosenaur this week as a tenacious negotiator who enjoyed making deals, even if he made enemies as well.

Rosenaur, who’d retired 13 years ago to the San Diego area, died in Carlsbad Feb. 24 at 84, though word of his death only circulated locally in recent days.
