Uber Technologies Inc. is considering leasing 450,000 square feet to house thousands of employees at the old Chicago Post Office at 433 W. Van Buren St., according to published reports.

Uber (NYSE: UBER) would occupy more than 16 percent of the 2.8 million-square-foot building that is being redeveloped by 601W Cos.
